Deputy Project Manager
McColm & Company (McCO) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Deputy Project Managers to provide technical support to an anticipated contract with the Department of State’s FIRST Initiative Specialized Support Services contract. The position description below details the duties and qualifications of the anticipated position, contingent upon award.
The goal of the FIRST Initiative Specialized Support Services contract is to procure a variety of services relating to raising the awareness of partner governments on how to build a nuclear energy program focused on the deployment of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology that is in accordance with the highest international standards for nuclear safety, security, and nonproliferation. Ongoing and proposed deployment of Floating Nuclear Power Plants (FNPPs) poses a related challenge this solicitation seeks to address. The Department of State seeks to develop ten training modules to raise the awareness of government and other relevant decision-makers in partner countries in Southeast Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, the Middle East, and Latin America on the nuclear security, safety, nonproliferation, and related considerations associated with Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology. Deployments of floating nuclear power plants (FNPPs) being rushed to market pose a related challenge this solicitation seeks to address.
The Deputy Project Manager will assist the Project Manager with management, delegation, and execution of day-to-day project tasks, including staff management, as well as engagement in technical practices. The Deputy Project Manager will collaborate with other Project Management Unit (PMU) team members and support and monitor completion of tasks related to aspects of project management, performance, and compliance. Ensures adherence with company policies, applicable laws and regulations, and project requirements.
DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS
The period of performance is expected to be 12 months in length with four (4) one-year options.
